Ibis's vision and mission are decisive for the perspective of our work and for the day-to-day handling of decisions and choices.

Vision
Ibis's vision is the light which guides the organisation's direction:

Ibis works for a just world, in which all people have equal access to education, influence and resources.

Mission
The mission is the choice of interventions most likely to lead the organisation towards the vision. Ibis's mission concerns the work in the South as well as in the North, namely:

Through support for civil society in Africa and Latin America, Ibis wishes to secure people equal access to education, influence and resources.

Through information and advocacy, Ibis wishes to influence the political agenda, create greater understanding of the problems facing developing countries, and point to specific options for action.
