Alliance 2015
Alliance2015 is a partnership of seven like-minded non-government organizations working in the field of development cooperation. The Alliance members are IBIS, CESVI from Italy, Concern Worldwide from Ireland, Welthungerhilfe from Germany, Hivos from the Netherlands, People in Need from the Czech Republic and the new associate member ACTED from France.
The objective of Alliance2015 is to fight poverty effectively through coordination and collaboration in campaign- and communications work in Europe, and program work in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Alliance2015 strive to achieve all 8 goals enacted by the UN in the year of 2000.
In the South, Alliance partners most actively cooperate in Latin America and Asia, with more than 20 joint projects and activities being implemented on each contintent. These joint activities range from very tangible and pragmatic types of cooperation, such as sharing an office, to large, EU-funded consortia projects.
In Europe, Alliance2015 has been working successfully in lobbying and advocacy. Examples include the Stop Child Labour campaign that has received funding from the EU for a second phase, and the high-quality 2015-Watch Reports, which monitor EU progress toward the MDGs. The most recent campaign is the Virus Free Generation campaign that addresses HIV&AIDS in a fresh and dynamic way, focusing on a young target audience.
