Environment and sustainable development
Environmental concerns are mainstreamed into IBIS' programs. IBIS supports its partners in their political work, their ability to engage in political dialogue with state and market, and in their national and international networking in favor of sustainable development.
Africa and Latin-America work with environment in different ways and with different approaches.
Latin-American programs Work with environment in relation to indigenous peoples’ collective rights, to territorial management, and to issues around extractive industries, and with a perspective towards national and international legislation.
The African region Is focused on local environment protection initiatives, on sustainable food production activities, waste recycling and water supply, and alternatives for sustainable construction and production.
