Praktik hos IBIS og IBIS' samarbejdspartnere
Internship: AVANCSO
Placement: Guatemala
Application date: May 2, 2005
Time period: autumn 2005
Duration: 6 months
The internship will contain tasks that are concrete, individual and collective. The main internship task is to conduct an investigation at a nation-wide level, concerning alternative pedagogical methodologies within the framework of informal education, which aims to build critical capacities within different social actors with the purpose of transforming their realities. Although there are still no pedagogical methodologies aiming directly at deconstructing racism and discrimination, it is considered important to know and discuss the methodologies that can offer support within this area.
The investigation should focus on establishing general information about relevant programmes (who elaborates the methodologies? What are its contents? With which groups have they been implemented? Etc.), but also to characterize the programmes in relation to results, lessons learned and challenges that the organisations and other social actors have identified, the aim of the methodologies, and how the process of elaboration have taken place. This implies an analysis and collective discussion of the findings. The investigation and characterization will support and qualify the discussion within and between different sectors aiming at the elaboration of antiracist pedagogical methodologies.
